Thorny Bleeder Records
Guitartist - Art Of Dying

With musical aspirations and dreams of playing huge rock concerts, Greg Bradley learned to play guitar in Calgary, Alberta at age 12. Playing with high school friends, Greg’s first taste of the business was selling tickets to self-planned local concerts for his first band “Rok Stone”. After high school, Greg studied business at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal College while playing in a cover band in the small towns of Alberta. Greg honed his performing ability during this time playing for 4 hours a night, 6 days a week. Not satisfied with the future potential of cover bands, Greg began playing in an original band called “Cactus Juice”. He juggled school, music and a part-time job working for HMV Canada to help understand the inner workings of the music industry.

Cactus Juice was soon offered a management deal with a Toronto based company and moved east to pursue the opportunity. The band played and recorded in and around the Toronto area for a year before moving back out west to Vancouver, touring with several Canadian and international acts.

After the demise of Cactus Juice, Greg continued to work for HMV Canada on a management level when he met Jonny Hetherington in the mid 90’s. Greg and Jonny developed a strong and valuable partnership as friends, musicians and business partners. They formed, “Pan”, where they began their career of writing and recording songs together as well as playing locally in Vancouver and investing in their career. Pan independently released a 3 song E.P. in 1997. They changed their band name to “Sunlikestar” upon the release of their first independent full length release in the year 2000. The Sunlikestar CD sold extremely well and was nominated for a CASBY Award, and helped carve a path for relationships with radio and promoters across Canada.

Soon after the release, Greg was hired by Brian Thompson as a music purchaser at A&B Sound (Western Canadian independent music retailer) at the head office level. Greg continued to write and record with Jonny for the next project while forming a solid business relationship and friendship with Brian.

Greg and Jonny wrote new, fresh-sounding songs and changed the band name to “Art of Dying”. They recorded a full length self titled CD in 2005 and received international acclaim. The first single “Get Through This” charted on modern rock radio in the U.S. in 2005 and was licensed to film, T.V. and video games.

Greg and Brian left A&B Sound and soon after partnered with Jonny to form Thorny Bleeder Records. Since then, Greg has been actively touring with Art Of Dying all over the world, while constantly marketing and promoting their band, and assisting in the further development and growth of the Thorny Bleeder Records roster.
