Buzz Band Columbia Release Album via The Pirate Party

It's a wet and depressing West Coast kind of day over here in Vancouver, pretty typical for November. So I'm sitting here sipping away on my third mug of coffee and thinking to myself, "What could we do at Thorny Bleeder Records to help brighten up everyone's day a little and spread some love on this dark and dreary day?"
And then it hit me...Free Music!
So I quickly got in touch with Kevin Schallie, singer for buzz band Columbia, who just happen to be one of the bands I'm managing. "Dude. Free music. Let's put your album out there for the whole world to listen to man...are you in?"
"Dude! Thumbs up man! Free the music and the fans will follow!"
Totally.
Ok, so how should we distribute this freebie album? What's the best and most widely used way to spread a file across the globe as quickly as possibly?BitTorrent. So that's what I did. I quickly created a torrent file and uploaded it to all of the popular trackers across the web. Done. Ok, there it is. Now it's out there for the world to share and enjoy!
Ok, but what else can we do to spread the word that the new Columbia album Join Our Ride is out there, ready for the taking?
Hmm, perhaps The Pirate Party of Canada can help. So I sent my friend Jake Daynes an email, who happens to be the Leader of the Pirate Party, asking if he'd like to host it on their CaPT website, the Canadian Pirate Tracker. And...he's in!
So here we go folks, a present from Columbia, Thorny Bleeder Records, and The Bleeder Blog...to you. A free album for you to download and share as you please.
