Goodbye, London Astoria.

The legendary music venue, the London Astoria Theatre, is closing its doors forever on January 15, with the last ever show taking place today, Wednesday, January 14. Open since 1976, London's most famous rock n' roll venue has hosted many of the biggest names and has also been the choice of numerous live concert recordings (Radiohead, Sum 41, Black Label Society).

Big names to have played the Astoria include: Beach Boys, Nirvana, The Black Crowes, System Of A Down, Coldplay, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, HIM, Suede, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Slayer, Blur, Radiohead, Travis, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, Black Sabbath, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, The Libertines, Oasis, Amy Winehouse, Green Day, Prince, Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, U2, Eminem and The White Stripes.

I had the pleasure of working at the venue on October 6, 2006 while I was on the road with Art Of Dying on their UK tour with Seether. So in tribute to this memorable piece of rock n' roll history, I dug out a
never-before-seen video I've had stashed away in my archives.

Below is The Bleeder Blog's
exclusive footage of Seether at The Astoria, performing Alice In Chain's "Nutshell", with Jonny Hetherington from Art Of Dying on guest vocals.
