TV Heart Attack launches an audio assault on The Hideout

TVHA brought more than just technical difficulties to the stage. They also brought along a mixture of melodic, hook filled alternative rock sound. It worked. Their catchy songs were more than enough to keep people’s attention focused on the band, instead of what was happening behind them.
TVHA has been trekking across the country for the better part of March, and came to Ontario for a couple of shows during Canadian Music Week. They were here to promote their latest EP, Lost In The Sway, released last fall.
The setlist consisted of tracks from both Lost In The Sway and their 2007 self-titled debut album, which was independently released before being signed to Thorny Bleeder Records in 2008.
It’s rare these days to see a show where the band doesn’t take themselves too seriously. TVHA’s performance proves that having fun and enjoy playing for you’re fans is not a lost art.

That was most evident with the performance of their hit single, “AO”, off of their latest release. The song is possibly their catchiest to date, and the band took the opportunity to bring a half dozen fans on stage to sing the anthemic chorus. After the fans left the stage, TVHA ended the set with their next radio single, “Nowhere Fast”, a more guitar-driven tune that retains “AO”s catchy vibe.
TVHA’s performance is not one to miss if they’re in your town. Whether it’s going on stage to sing with the band, or watching a guitar being smashed at the end of a set, you are getting a real rock show.
