Microsoft Songsmith
How is that a corporation the size of Microsoft can continually get things so completely and utterly wrong?
Microsoft recently released a new piece of software called Songsmith. The concept is simple; sing a song into the program and it makes the music for you.
Sounds great right?
Haha, well...maybe if Apple made the program. But with Microsoft behind the wheel, it becomes the laughing stock of the internet.
Within only a week's time, YouTube is now full of videos of people taking existing songs by real bands, and plugging them into the program to see what kind of hilarity ensues.
Below is my favourite of the bunch, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica.
Now, this might have been acceptable in 1986 as a breaking new technology, but come on...is this for real? Is this really the quality of program you should be releasing in 2009?
