Thorny Bleeder Records New Release: Art Of Dying - Let The Fire Burn (The Lost Acoustic Album)
The Lost Acoustic Album: April 24

Let The Fire Burn is a "super package" from Art of Dying featuring a "Lost Acoustic Album" and a DVD that will become both a collector's item and favourite among fans. Packed with content, the DVD is "a few years in the life" of this amazing Canadian success story and the acoustic album is a true 'record' of a moment-in-time on a booze-drenched journey with producer Jeff Dawson.

This lost acoustic album and accompanying behind-the-scenes DVD captures Art Of Dying in their final moments with Thorny Bleeder before they were signed to Warner. This truly is a piece of rock history captured in time.

NEW Art Of Dying Single: Die Trying

Filed in:
Art Of Dying Die Trying 2010

Being the web savvy individual that I am...I think it's pretty safe to say that I've uncovered a huge surprise that's coming from Art Of Dying next Tuesday, September 28.

The graphic you're seeing is the official cover art for Die Trying, the debut single release from the upcoming Art Of Dying album on Reprise Records.

This the website that gave it away.

To Art Of Dying fans, Die Trying isn't necessarily a new song, although it's never had an official release. The song has been a highlight of the band's live shows for a couple of years now, due in part to an early demo of the song, featuring a guest duet with Shaun Morgan from Seether, that leaked to the internet and became a fan favourite. The song has had a few different versions as the band has tweaked it over the years, one being a little slower and more acoustic driven, while the other one being a full-on raging rocker.

This newly recorded version of Die Trying was recorded in LA with producer Howard Benson, engineer Mike Plotnikoff, and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge.

Get ready to fire up your iTunes or Amazon MP3 Store on Tuesday, Sept. 28 to download the first new song from Art Of Dying in three years!

Check this out: New Art of Dying Music Video - Ghosts and Heroin, filmed and edited today by Jonny Hetherington.

Here's what Jonny had to say about it:

"The song "Build a Wall" completely inspired me today to create my first indie music video.

Build a Wall is one of my favorite songs on the debut Art of Dying record. It inspired me to go out into the streets of Vancouver and capture this video. It rained like hell today, which really matched the mood of this song. The theme of the video is "Ghost of the Buses" as I never actually filmed myself directly, only my reflection. Homelessness and mobility are huge issues in any major center and Vancouver is no exception. This video was filmed in East Vancouver and Gastown where you don't have to go far to find character and interesting people. This neighborhood is home to Canadian artists, musicians, drug dealers, hookers and the countries only "safe injection" heroin site. Probably one of the only places in the world that you can see heroin addicts and rich tourists bumping shoulders. It's also the neighborhood that Art of Dying got it's start playing in dingy bars and rehearsing in heart of it all."
-- Jonny Hetherington

And hey

In the world of rock music, the small town of Norwood carries a big punch. It's a place that breeds a core of musicians eager to spread their art into the wider world and in a business that's cutthroat, at best, they're leaving their mark.

The latest group is Art of Dying, a five-piece band whose name inspires something dark or sinister, but whose members are anything but. These guys are fuelled by a passion for music and a love of all things beautiful in life.
