Canada's Longest Running Blues Program Interviews Ross Neilsen

Ross Neilsen and The Sufferin' Bastards have been getting their fair share of press lately. And with good reason. This hard working band is in the middle of yet another cross-Canadian tour while promoting their new album, Redemption. And with their new single 'Afflicted' getting spins at blues specialty programs, college radio, and rock radio stations across the country, the press is taking notice. Hard work pays off as the band has been getting articles and reviews in almost every city they play in, which is a fantastic tribute to these road warriors.
While at a tour stop in Edmonton last week Neilsen had the pleasure of co-hosting the Natch'l Blues show on the CKUA Radio Network with host Holger Petersen.
This is Canada's longest-running blues program and has been on the air since 1969. Natch’l Blues is the quintessential destination for the serious blues fan or the curious newcomer. Presented every week by Canada's blues emissary, Holger Petersen, head of Stony Plain Records and longtime CKUA host, the program is a collection of the best music of the genre and interviews with the greatest names in blues.

Due to the unfortunate news from the Special Ops infantry, the Montreal rock quartet has issued the following statement:
In 2008, Thornhill was previously diagnosed and conquered cancer, which led to Special Ops current recording "Through The Heart of The Infidel" that they are currently on tour presented by RockstarWeekly.com to promote for its release on May 25th on Thorny Bleeder Records.
* Special Ops will be at the Thorny Bleeder Showcase June 5th in Vancouver at The Shark Club with label mates Quartered and Black Hat Villain.
All of us here at Thorny Bleeder send our love out to Wally, our rock n' roll brother. We wish you nothing but the best and we look forward to you slaying this beast with the same intense passion which you pour into your music!

Ross Neilsen & The Sufferin' Bastards are about to embark on their third National Tour in 12 months and all of us at Thorny Bleeder Records are super stoked. We'll be announcing the official worldwide re-release of the studio album Early Grave in the very near future, so keep your eyes on The Bleeder Blog for updates.
This tour will take the three bastards from their home in New Brunswick out to where the Trans Canada ends in the mystical and intoxicating locale of Tofino, and then back home again.
